Principal's Message
Dear Social Circle High School Families and Students,
I am incredibly honored to serve as your principal, especially at such an exciting time in the life of our school. I am deeply grateful to our Board of Education and Superintendent for the opportunity to lead Social Circle High School, and I am proud to be part of a premier school within a premier district.
We are fortunate to live in a community that deeply values education. Thanks to the excellent teaching and learning happening across our elementary and middle schools, our students arrive at the high school ready to achieve. Our dedicated staff is entirely committed to that continued success. Throughout the school year and over the summer break, our teachers have engaged in rigorous professional learning, sharpening their instructional practices to ensure your student receives a world-class education.
At Social Circle, our mission goes beyond academic performance; we are committed to shaping the Portrait of our Graduates. We desire for every student who crosses our graduation stage to be a hardworking, ethical, and thoughtful citizen who is fully prepared to contribute to the success of our community, our state, and our nation. To achieve this, we hold high expectations for our students' dress, conduct, and performance:
-
Dressed for Success: We ask students to dress each day with their future in mind, choosing attire that reflects the professionalism of a modern workplace.
-
A Culture of Respect: We expect students to conduct themselves in a manner that protects and honors the learning environment for everyone around them.
-
A Standard of Excellence: We challenge our students to pursue excellence in everything they do, developing the resilience and critical thinking skills required for life after high school.
High school is a powerful time to explore future college and career pathways, and building positive habits today will open doors to exciting opportunities tomorrow. To help our students become well-rounded, globally-minded citizens, we offer a wide variety of clubs, organizations, and athletic teams.
Research consistently shows that active participation outside the classroom boosts academic performance, and I strongly urge every student to get involved in at least one extracurricular activity. Through these opportunities—and within our exceptional athletic facilities—our students will learn the essential leadership, communication, and collaboration skills that will serve them wherever their passions take them.
